Jeff is one of the most iconic artists in D&D's storied history. He's responsible for many of the images that brought the world of role-playing to life for folks like me. Now his art's here, I can't stop looking at it, and I am in a perpetual state of grateful disbelief. Thank you Jeff, for this completely awesome privilege!
In the illustration, Jeff is depicting a moment from the sea voyage section of 'Champion'. I won't give away too much, but long story short, my game is a 'reboot' of the myths, and the character these soldiers are confronting is a hybrid of Circe and Medusa. As for the identities of those looming figures in the sky above, you'll have to wait and see...
